Understandably, there are going to be some pictures that you absolutely want your photographer to take during your day. A "pose list" and or a "must take" list is pretty standard in wedding photography. This type of "traditional" wedding photography is something that will definitely please the parents. :o) Of course, your photojournalistic photographer will gladly take those shots as well.
Personally, I love the idea of being able to do both so that the day is captured "as is" with raw emotion and with the traditional shots that capture the details. Getting that spontaneous laughter, moment or what have you on film is just priceless. But of course, making sure that you have pictures of all of the details that you worked so hard at planning.....your cake, your favours, your invites, etc...is important as well.
